Lowell

Lowell, Arizona, was once a thriving mining town located just southeast of Bisbee. Established in the early 1900s, it grew rapidly due to the booming copper mining industry led by the Phelps Dodge Corporation. The town developed a strong sense of community, with homes, shops, and a vibrant main street known as Erie Street. Over time, however, mining operations slowed, and much of Lowell was absorbed into Bisbee. Today, Erie Street remains a nostalgic, frozen-in-time attraction, preserved by local efforts to honor Lowell’s rich mining heritage and mid-century Americana charm.
