Mayor Joe Konrad and the City of Benson invites everyone to celebrate a historic milestone this year—the 100th Independence Day festivities! This year’s event will be a day full of excitement, community spirit, and fun for all ages.
Splash Pad Grand Opening:
We are also thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of our newly constructed splash pad. This state-of-the-art facility promises endless fun for kids and a refreshing break from the summer heat.
Community Highlights:
One of the beloved traditions, the First Assembly of God church’s community dunk tank, returns this year.
For those with a competitive spirit, Ninja Nation Mobile Course brings an exciting challenge. Test your agility and strength on this mobile obstacle course designed for ninjas of all ages.
•9:00 AM – Parade: Our celebration kicks off with a grand parade through Benson. You can still register to participate in the parade until June 25th.
PARADE ROUTE
•11:00 AM – Water Fight: Our area fire departments will face off in the annual water fights. This friendly competition is a crowd favorite, with firefighters vying for the coveted bragging rights. It’s a splash-tastic event you won’t want to miss!
•12:00 PM – Spotlight Studio Performs & Corn Hole Tournament: Enjoy a dual treat at noon with a captivating performance by Spotlight Studio and the start of our Corn Hole Tournament.
Fireworks Finale:
As the day winds down, prepare for the city fireworks display around 8:30pm. The night sky will light up with spectacular colors, providing the perfect conclusion to the centennial celebration.
