Coronado Vineyards Closes Following Devastating Fire

WILLCOX, Ariz (SVL) — Coronado Vineyards, a beloved fixture on Country Club Road, has closed operations indefinitely after a devastating fire early Sunday morning destroyed its main building.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 6, 2025, Willcox firefighters responded to an emergency call at the vineyards, located at 2909 East Country Club Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered the structure fully engulfed in flames. Despite the severity of the blaze, no injuries were reported. The building has suffered extensive damage, forcing the vineyard to close for the foreseeable future.

The site was once part of a golf course which was later redeveloped into a vineyard and tasting room in Willcox wine country. The first grapevines were planted in 2005, and the venue officially opened in November 2006.

Coronado Vineyards shared the following regarding the closing:

"We want to share an important update regarding our operations. At this time, we will be temporarily closing our doors for the summer. Those that personally know us, we work every single day at the vineyard. We are taking this time to spend with our family.

We are committed to our community and are actively exploring options to return stronger than ever. Your support means a lot to us, and we look forward to reconnecting with you soon.

Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for your understanding."
