WILLCOX, Ariz. — Simmons Pump & Supply, one of the nation’s top providers of state-of-the-art pump systems and water well supplies, has officially opened its first Arizona location in Willcox, marking a major expansion of the company’s footprint to serve the southwestern United States. Founded in 1952 in western Texas by Clarence Simmons and Raymond Pickering, Simmons Pump began as a small machine shop focused on addressing the water demands of the South and High Plains agricultural regions. Over the last 73 years, Simmons has grown into a company known for both high-quality pump systems and contractor support.
Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, the company expanded its operations in 2023 by opening a second location in Garden City, Kansas. Now, the company has chosen Willcox for its third location, opening in a 30,000-square-foot warehouse space on Maley Street that will be home to sales, management, engineering, production, and distribution. Next to the main facility is a 10,000-square-foot turbine pump testing center, which will be operated in partnership with SIMFLO.

“We’re extremely grateful for the tremendous amount of growth and success our company has experienced over the past few years,” said company representative Megan Metze, a Simmons representative. “Our expansion to Willcox will no doubt aid in better serving customers throughout the southwestern and western U.S. This new location is ideal because it allows us to receive and deliver products in an expedited manner, expand our inventory, enhance our testing capabilities, and become the trusted one-stop resource for all things pump and supply.”

The company has plans to continue upgrades and renovations over the next several months to further enhance service and speed for both commercial and residential customers. These upgrades include expanded inventory, streamlined product delivery, and a redesigned test pit.

Simmons offers a full range of top-quality pump products and services, including custom-built submersible, centrifugal, and line-shaft turbine systems ranging from 0.5-HP to 200-HP. The company also provides full water well systems, repair services, vendor support, scheduled deliveries, and a complete line of residential and agricultural accessories.
Simmons said it remains committed to the communities it serves. They company is an active supporter of agriculture and groundwater organizations and looks forward to becoming a trusted partner in the Willcox community.
