by Mia Longoria - March 16, 2025
As Andres Correa steps up to the plate for his final season with Willcox High School baseball, he carries with him years of dedication, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. The 18-year-old senior, and Willcox native, has been a staple of local athletics, playing baseball all four years while also making his mark on the football field.
Andres first picked up a baseball at age 10, developing a passion that carried him through high school. His commitment to sports extended beyond the diamond, as he also played football throughout high school, enjoying every moment of his final season this past year. Looking back, he treasures the experiences, the camaraderie, and the hard-fought battles with his teammates.

With graduation approaching, Andres is preparing for the next chapter of his life. He plans to earn his commercial driver’s license (CDL) before pursuing a career in law enforcement, with aspirations to become a correctional officer and eventually a Border Patrol Agent. While he is eager for what lies ahead, he remains grateful for the friendships and lessons learned on the field.
As he takes the field for his final games, Andres leaves behind a legacy of hard work and determination, setting an example for future Willcox athletes. His journey is just beginning, and his community will be cheering him on—both on and off the field.
Good luck Andres and congratulations!
