YOUTH SWIM LESSONS (6mo-17yrs) The Cove will offer weekday (Monday through Thursday) swim lessons throughout the summer for children 6 months to 17 years of age. Peewee Sports Camp This fun camp offers participants the opportunity to develop essential motor skills and helps prepare them with tools they need for fun and successful experiences in an organized program. The program builds confidence and self-esteem during impressionable years, when children need it most. Parents are encouraged to get involved in all features of the camp. HUMMINGBIRD TRIATHLON (ages 10+) Swim 800 yards, bike 13 miles, and run 5 kilometers at Sierra Vista’s Annual Hummingbird Triathlon! Compete as an individual, or as a member of a female, male, or coed team in this chip-timed race. Open to ages 10 and up. Register early to save some money and guarantee your event T-shirt and swag from our sponsors. The race starts and finishes at The Cove. Register on Active.com. 2025 Fall Coronado Sports Club Coed Recreational Soccer League The City of Sierra Vista has partnered with the Coronado Athletic Club to provide a fall recreational soccer league. The season is scheduled to run mid-September to early December. Registration is open for children born between 2006 – 2020. Parents can add a practice jersey for an additional $15 and/or a supporter jersey for an additional $30. $90 per youth by August 3, $100 afterwards | Registration closes August 23 Registration for all summer camps and clinics is currently open. Basic Archery Ages 10 + Learn the fundamentals of archery and become a better archer with USA Archery Level 3 National Training System (NTS) coach Matthew Irlmeier and his team of certified instructors. You will learn correct form and technique using supplied equipment or you may bring your own. You will learn the parts that make up the bow and arrow, how to use the equipment safely, aiming, correct arrow release, shot sequence, and more. Archery is a great family activity and family enrollment is encouraged. Advanced Archery Ages 10 + This archery class is for students who have completed the basic archery course or for experienced archers. Experience the Rhythms of West Africa Join the library for an unforgettable cultural celebration featuring the enchanting sounds of West African music with husband-and-wife duo Arouna and Zaza Diarra. Arouna, orignally from Burkina Faso, brings the traditions of his homeland to life with the kamale n’goni—a 14-string harp-like instrument—and the kora, a 21-string instrument known for its rich, melodic tones. Together Arouna and Zaza will perform traditional folk songs in their native language of Bambara. Explore the world of music, storytelling, and culture through the universal language of song.
