On Friday, June 28, 2024, around 3:10pm, a single vehicle fatal collision occurred on Highway 92 at milepost 332, near Stump Canyon Rd in Hereford.
A 2013 Ford Edge was traveling east toward Palominas when the vehicle traveled across the center line and into the westbound shoulder before striking a tree head on.
The driver of the vehicle, 65-year-old Susan Iacaruso Munoz of Hereford, was deceased on scene and had to extricated by firefighters.
Her husband Hector Munoz confirmed her passing in a statement on Saturday. The two had been married for about two years and recently purchased a home in Hereford. The family believes Susan experienced a seizure leading to her losing control of the vehicle.
