WILLCOX, Ariz. (SVL) – Arizona State Troopers are investigating a fatal single-vehicle rollover that occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate 10 eastbound, just before the US 191 Northbound exit between Willcox and Bowie.

According to initial reports, a red utility truck hauling a trailer rolled over in the median. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected during the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

One eastbound lane was temporarily closed to allow troopers to investigate the collision. The victim has been identified as 28 year old Erik Segura Gamez of Douglas. His employer, Budget Towing, confirmed that Erik was on shift at the time of the tragic accident.

From Budget Towing:

“It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved coworker, family, and friend, Erik D. Segura.

Erik wasn’t just a colleague — he was a kind soul, a steady presence, and someone who brought warmth, humor, and integrity into the workplace every single day.

He proudly served with dedication, he tragically lost his life while on duty, and his commitment and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Our crew won’t be the same without him, but we are grateful for the time we had and the memories we’ll carry forward.

Rest in peace, Erik D. Segura. You will be deeply missed. We love you, fly high with the angels ❤️🕊️”
