The American Leadership Academy (ALA) is preparing for the grand opening of its Sierra Vista campus located on Buffalo Soldier Trail. This state-of-the-art charter school aims to provide quality Pre-K and tuition free K-12 education to the community, fostering leadership and academic excellence. The school year kicks off July 31st.
Founded with a mission to develop leaders through rigorous academics and character development, ALA continues to expand its footprint in Arizona. The new Sierra Vista campus is set to serve over 700 students starting this fall, offering a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes both academic proficiency and personal growth.
ALA will host an information session on July 11th at 6 pm at the Sierra Vista Welcome Center, 4251 Enterprise Way. This session is an excellent opportunity for parents and students to learn more about the school's programs, meet the staff, and get answers to any questions they may have. Additionally, ALA uniforms will be available for purchase at the welcome center, ensuring students are prepared for the upcoming school year.
The new campus is strategically located on Buffalo Soldier Trail, a road currently undergoing extension to accommodate the school. "The City will pave the road to the American Leadership Academy. Areas further to the east are not within City limits," explained Public Works Director Sharon Flissar. She added, "The bids for the Buffalo Soldier Trail extension just opened within the past couple of weeks, so the construction timeframe will be extremely tight. If construction of the school is complete before the road, temporary access will be provided."
The city hopes to have the project complete before the school year. While construction of the new campus continues, ALA will temporarily operate out of 4251 Enterprise Way. This temporary location will ensure that parents have access to school personnel for any questions or uniform needs while awaiting the completion of their new, permanent school building in the fall.
